In accordance with the MOU on Educational Cooperation between the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the Government of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea, the Chinese Government will provide five (5) postgraduate scholarships and fifteen (15) undergraduate degree Scholarships for PNG students to pursue degree studies in China commencing academic year of 2012/2013.

Qualification:

Applicants for postgraduate program must be:

• PNG citizens in good health, and;
• Be under the age of 35 with a Bachelor Degree or higher one.

Applicants for graduate/undergraduate program must be:

• Applicants for graduate program must be PNG citizens in good health
• Be under the age of 25 with a secondary diploma or Grade Twelve (12) Higher School Certificate with good academic performance or a Bachelor Degree.

Requirement:

Applicants are required to submit relevant application materials, including certified photocopies of:

• Higher School Certificate / Degree Certificate or higher;
• academic transcripts;
• health certificate;
• two recommendation letters;
• detailed study plan and;
• current contact information.

Priority fields of Study: The priority areas of study include; sciences, research, technology, education, agriculture, health, economics, and management.

Application Deadline: Complete application materials for the Scholarship must be delivered to the Office of Higher Education, at Mutual Rumana, Waigani Drive, P.O. Box 5117, Boroko NCD from Monday, 13th February to Friday 17th February 2012. Emailed applications will be accepted but it must clear and easy to read. Faxed applications will not be accepted.
